What type of support do I get with a Bowled franchise?
All the support in the early stages that is necessary to run a Bowled operations successfully. You get access to our brand, recipes & procedures, vendors, training, store build-out & trade dress, website, social media, online ordering, gift card program, etc.
What are the Bowled franchise fees?
Our initial franchise fee is $30,000 per location. Our continuing royalty fee is 6% of gross sales and our brand fund contribution and local advertising fees total 2% of gross sales.
Can I secure a territory to develop multiple Bowled locations?
Depending on your qualifications, we will award franchises for multiple restaurants (under an area development agreement).
Do I need to have a location in mind?
You should be familiar with the area that you want to develop. Bowled Co. will make it easy for you! We provide help with location, rental agreements, demographics and more so we all succeed together!
What is the cost to get Bowled location started?
We've estimated the average cost of operation per location is $100,000 - $175,000. We even provide assistance with the initial build out to keep costs low. Bowled has created an atmosphere and a facility that allows cost effective decor, equipment, and product through smarts means of ordering and our supply chain. That allows Bowled to be built at a faster rate, while still offering great value and high quality health food.
What are the typical store hours of operation?
Most locations are 8:00 am – 9:00 pm / 7 days a week.
What is the typical size of a Bowled?
Bowled locations would be well suited with 1200 SqFt to 2100 SqFt of interior space. We recommend outdoor seating as well.
Do I need to be involved in the operations of my Bowled location(s)?
We strongly advise yourself or an Operating Principal who has ownership in the company to be apart of the day to day operations. If that is not possible, the hiring of experienced managers is extremely beneficial in running a proper restaurant.
What are the financial requirements to open a Bowled franchise?
You and your partners must have a minimum liquidity of approximately $100,000. Every situation and partner are unique in their own manner and we personally dissect and make sure a franchisee is in the best interest of the company and vice versa.
What type of training is provided by Bowled?
You will attend initial training of 2-3 weeks (approx.100 plus hours) of training at our facility in Albany, NY followed by 2 Weeks of training prior to, and during the opening of your Bowled location.
Approximately how long will it take to open my Bowled location?
It will take about 8 weeks to build your store after you have taken possession of your location. Generally, it takes about 12 weeks to create architectural plans, get permits and select a contractor prior to starting the 8-week construction process.
